The man in my life

I was showing Rick my blog scene and he was a bit sad he wasn't on it yet so here is my husband Rick of nearly ten years. He's a bus driver, footy fanatic and christian. In this photo he is holding Shannon's baby Jack on his first birthday. Rick decided he HAD to be Collingwood footy fan and bought him his first jumper.

“Herein lies the original idea that began the group :) Bobmas! A celebration of all things Ravelry. Basically it’s this: because we have ravelers from all different faiths (and no faiths) and countries, why not create our own Ravelry holiday called ‘Bobmas” ? A day to encourage people to share their happy stories about Raverly, a day to exchange gifts perhaps and a day to party! A day to shower Jess and Casey and Bob with admiration. We have a number of great ideas for Bobmas including some secret ones :) to keep from JC&B. Bobmas April 11th! Bobmas Eve April 10th May Bob bless us, everyone.”

My babies

These are my beautiful boys.
14Feb08 156ZAC is 10 years old in Sep this year. He's an Aust Terrier X
14Feb08 082MR PIES is 12 years old in July this year. He is so smoochy now. Only became like that after he got sick. He's well now.
153This is my boy MAX. He's only 2 years old last Feb. He's an absolute rascal. He's a Jack Russell rough coat.
 
These are my babies because God saw it fit that I am not able to have children of my own. This has helped to be able to connect really well with most kids and use this gift in church and in my relationships.

Knitting bags

I learnt how to knit last year. My best friend Shannon is constantly teaching me and guiding me. She is sooo patient! Anyway, I recently joined Ravelry http://www.ravelry.com/ because I had to know what all the fuss was about and why everyday I was hearing Rav this and Rav that from Shan. What a good site! Recently they completed a bag swap and Shan and I missed out. We have been watching the bags come in and so overwhelmed at how brilliant they are and how much effort everyone has put in that we have decided to do it for each other. I stipulated that we had to design our the bags because Shan is so reluctant to anything without a pattern. She did aggree but ahs changed her mind. She found the 'perfect' pattern for me she said. Well, I'm still going to design my own (more probably because I can't really read a pattern without her help! and it's supposed to be a surprise!) We swap on the 1st of July. I'm so excited. It's really fun hunting for gifts to put in it too. I will post a photo when we swap.
